Although Emergency Radiology is not joining the NRMP-Subspecialty Match for the 2021-2022 application process, the American Society of Emergency Radiology and the Emergency Radiology Fellowship directors have agreed on specific terms set in part by the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD). The goal is to establish a uniform date for applications, interviews, and acceptances that will allow our residents sufficient time to experience all of Radiology sub-specialties before choosing one for their career. Emergency Radiology Fellowship Program Directors have gone a step further and want our applicants to have time to visit any programs they wish without added pressure to make a decision on the same day of the interview. For this reason, we have extended the applicant acceptance date further than the SCARD guidelines.

Although we have completed the 2021-2022 application process, many of the Emergency Radiology Fellowship programs remain unfilled.  Please see the Programs web page for further details regarding unfilled programs.
